Hi everyone.
Continuing to rise from the dead of my 05 Sequoia.
I have a question about the rear climate control, it wasn't working from the start (no backlight or numbers on the screen).
I took out the control panel and found out that it was unplugged. Nevertheless, after I plugged the wires there was still no signs of life to it. Checked the rear acc fuse under the hood and it's okay. There is still no backlight or numbers on the screen.
Does anyone have/had the same issue? Any suggestions on what to dig next, open the central console and check the wiring?

Hi everyone

I disassembled the central console, cleaned all the stuff there and after assembly I have a backlight on rear heater controls buttons but still can't operate them and the small screen where the temperature numbers should be doesn't show anything.
Any clues?

The control panel probably got sippy cup juice spilled all over it and it shorted out the screen internally. Previous owner unplugged it to keep the Fuse from blowing.

You probably need a new control panel.

Nope. I disassembled the panel too, it's clean

The rear hvac button on the dash is pressed in? I seem to remember having a similar problem with mine but for the life of me I can't remember what the solution was... pretty sure I gave it a good whack and it started working again.
