Thanks Lance. As soon as I get it I will forward it on to the appropriate people. I am still working on the BullDog as well so I will submit something to them also.

I definitely want to make sure that we do something with their logo on an event specific shirt BUT I don't think they are going to go for anything that comes even close to promoting drinking and driving so I think we will have to focus on the "crawfish and Abita go great together for club events" angle and not the "drinking a keg of Purple Haze and running into sh!t is fun" angle. Just my thoughts.

Well guess my idea of a fj cruiser or fj40 rolled on its side is out of the question. Jonas I completely agree and understand so lets see what they say and move forward from there.

Jonas, this is what we are thinking from the BOD standpoint I think having Abita as a sponsor could be huge. I propose we offer them a $500 sponsorship level--This level will get their logo on our banner, 1 round of T-Shirts..I saw somewhere in the Thread that someone recommended a limited edition T Shirt maybe for members only etc. Exclusive sponsorship for our Crawfish boil---Instead of getting the $500 cash I say we ask for product..we generally will do 3 offroad events yearly, and maybe an additional 2 social events...Lets ask for 6 kegs, and 10 cases of beer and a lot of koozies, bottle openers, banner, etc...in exchange for the sponsorship---What you think? I just emailed you a copy of the banner and we can add them to it...something like "Fueled By ABITA" with there logo.

I got confirmation that the info was received and thet they would review it and go over it with me soon. I think the request for product over money in this particular case is a great idea but for future sponsorships is there any way that we can put together something that will list different sponsorship levels and what they come with. I know that each case will probably be different but it would be nice to have something with a standard format to issue to potential candidates. I don't mind requesting money/product from people/businesses for the club if I see the right opportunity but I think it would make it easier if I had something to present instead of just a verbal request or an email/phone call. If this is not really in the scope of what y'all are thinking for the club no worries but I thought I would throw it out there just in case.:beer:

I agree because I am having the same situation arise with the vendors that keep asking me about it at work.
