Checked the manual and found a section of fuel, the adjustment is called full load set screw.

As per the manual, each half turn equals 3cc of fuel.

What I found while adjusting is the idle goes up in proportion.......

Is this common.

Rob

yes, i turned my fuel down for economy reasons and when i did it dropped my idle slightly. I didn't mind because i felt it idled a little high to begin with. I haven't yet mastered the fuel adjustments either, but from what i remember, there were a couple different ways to adjust it? There has to be a way to up the fuel without a 1000rpm idle....

I guess it would have to be common,at least with ND rotary pumps.
Can you turn the idle screw down to compensate?

No........ it does not move the throttle position.

this is an interesting read, when ever i have adjusted to the point where the idle has come up i have a lot of over fueling going on...
you might have to back the feul back down a notch...
cheers

Surprisingly enough prior to the turbo install we had a fair bit of black smoke under load, once the turbo was installed it cleared right up.

The tab on the screw had the wire removed but the tack welded cover was still attach to the screw.

EGTs so far under extreme load has not risen above 800 at 8PSI boost.

I guess the increased volume of air from the turbo is now matching the extra fuel being dumped in there??

My thoughts exactly, I will cut back the fuel a half turn at a time and see what effect it has on the temps.

Thanks
Rob
