1HD-FT Wiring diagrams. Anyone?

Hell all,

I have been looking for a complete engine wiring diagram for a 1HD-FT. (Not the FTE). Looking for everything needed to make it work. A quick search of this and other forums came up with not a lot of help. Thanks!

If you just simply want it to work/run its very basic. I test ran mine on an engine stand before I installed it in my HZJ80 with only power going to the injector pump stop solenoid and then the starter motor/starter solenoid.

Ditto, my FT virtually has no electrical except for the IP soleniod and starter. There were a number of other electrical components on it that I removed, all having to do with the EGR/emissions, which are not necessary for it to run, and are better off removed.

So, shutdown is accomplished with a solenoid on the IP? Energize to run? What about oil pressure and water temp sensors? I need the complete setup so I can plan an install wiring prior to getting the engine.

Exactly the engine shuts down by cutting voltage to the solenoid. Water/oil sensors depend on the type of instrument that you will be running, since you won;t be using stock instruments the wiring diagram won;t be of much use. I used aftermarket gauges and they came with the appropriate sensors.

The only other part is the glow screen, I live in a warm climate so I don't need it, engine starts fine without it, but even that could be wired to a simple wilson switch with appropriate relays rather then trying to replicate a stock setup

Cool. Yeah, I've got after market gauges, and will be probably transitioning to a Dakota Digital set up.
