1HD-FT mystery tapped hole in head

Hey folks, I am looking for a place to mount my catch can (notice the seeping from my valve cover vent hose) and noticed an unused tapped hole on the left side of my HDJ81 1HD-FT block. Picture shows a yellow-gold M8-1.25mm threading into it. Anyone know what this hole was used for? Maybe some optional accessory that would go to the block?

I believe it's for mounting arms to hold the accelerator cable. Different configurations for lhd, rhd, cruise control, what vehicle it's in etc
