With the age of these trucks I've had sensors fail and others where the connector on the sensor crumble in pieces.

I tried many cheap sensors that never worked. I did finally find a source that did.

what are the signs when they fail?

check engine light with either a P0330 or P0331 (sensor 2 or sensor 1) and a sizable amount of loss in power. A bad sensor will cause the ECU to retard timing until the fault is corrected.

not sure what you are referring to. But on an OBDII it's what I stated. OBDI is different.

This might be a dumb question but both sensors are the same?

Yes both front and rear sensors are the same. I'm selling them in pair because at the current age they are all suspect and if one has failed the other is likely close behind.
