If you’re near Cary, I have the otramm tool. I also have a big ass 3ft torque wrench for the crank pulley bolt that you can borrow.

I just did this job two weeks ago. I used the bit from the impact driver instead of the smaller screwdriver bits most people use. Worked perfectly.

The beauty of that tool I've found is that you don't need jis specific bits. Due to the hammer pressure the bit won't cam out. A jis would be theoretically better, but I haven't damaged any screws with one thus far.

The kits come with a few different sizes of Phillips and flat head, and I've never found a Toyota screw it won't work for.
I have a bit driver with a few Philips so I'll definitely give that a whirl. Was also considering the method from Otramms video where he taps them in.

PM me, I have one you can use.

I wish it was closer as those would make this much easier but I'm over 2hrs from Cary sadly. Thanks though

The impact hand tool. Ordered. You guys are the best enablers EVER!!!!

I used the starter bump method with a 3/4" breaker bar to remove my HB nut. To tighten, I removed the plastic flex plate cover, placed a deep well socket over one of the flex plate bolts, and slowly rotated the crank until the socket was resting against the side of the bell housing. I was able to get the torque setting needed on the HB bolt with no problem. No special tools required.

The trick to removing the oil pump cover screws is to use the correct bit, tap the bit several times to seat it, carefully offer up your impact driver without disturbing the bit and pull the trigger. All mine came out with no fanfare and looked good enough to re-use (but I did not re-use).

I was able to borrow @Malleus 's OTRAMM tool and bought a 3/4 in breaker bar from heartless freight. Was going to do the starter bump trick but that made it easy enough we didn't have to. Now I just gotta get the oil pump cover off, rebuild the PS pump and then put it all back together. I have a manual impact driver but I don't believe I'll be able to fit a hammer behind it so I'm planning on the tap in and use an air impact method

Impact screw driver is key for those oil pump screws. Or any stuck screws
If you have space a ¼ hex drive cordless impact driver is the go. Push down hard on the back of the tool, and unscrew with little Pew Pew Pew actions on the trigger. Not brrrrrrrrt-zing!

I've had 100% success a few times with this on oil pump housing screws and others

Another tip. Take a #2 Phillips bit and grind 3/32" off the end of the tip. Once this is done, it will seat deeper in the screw head, and it's a better fit in the + slot than a #3 Phillips
