Guys - the pipe nut c/t the exhaust manifold on my desmogged 40 rattles around in the manifold and leaks exhaust. I would like to replace that pipe nut with a plug (using balance of threads) in the exhaust manifold.

Anyone know what thread size that thing is or have a better solution (keeping the stock manifold)?

Sorry thats kind of important. Its a 1F. The EGR pipe connection is on the rear/bottom side of the manifold. It appears to be ~30mm....?

They once said that these trucks have Japanese Industrial Screw threads, which are about the same as a British Standard pipe thread. If I could cap this on my manifold, I might get away from headers.

First image is the stripped pipe fitting.

2nd image is the bottom aft end of the manifold with the 30mm plug installed (including the JB weld from previous temporary install of pipe fitting to get me through the holiday weekend).
