I bought this 99 LX470 with the AHC already disabled and was told the suspension was replaced at the dealer with LC suspension. I'm trying to verify the Torsion bars were changed, I'm assuming there is a difference in diameter, does anyone know what the diameter of each are? The front seems soft and seems to sit lower. I'm adjusting the bars when I put the new tires on and lower ball joints to only have to align once.

I'll mic the current bars but need to know which they are. Thanks in advance.

It's roughly 26mm LX versus 29mm LC. Aftermarket can be up to 32mm. Of course steel quality can vary.

Yeah but modulus of elasticity of all steel alloys are ridiculously close together. So much that theyre often just assumed to be equivalent.

The springs in the back were definitely changed, back end sits nice and high and the springs are not the whimpy looking ones for the LX
Yeah the front will look slammed to the ground if they werent changed. Just go under the rig with an impact gun and uggadugga the adjusters for a while. Problem solved.

Check the diameter of the TB on the truck. If you're lucky its been replaced with the thicker LC TB. If so crank them up and go wheeling.
