eBay 1997 LX450 184K Locked w/ Clear History

So I've been lurking on the forum for months learning about 80's and finally bit the bullet on this one...

Toyota: Land Cruiser

It was listed as $19,000 and I made an offer for $15K and it was accepted which I didn't really expect and now I'm suffering a little buyers remorse!

So what do you guys think, was this a reasonable price?

Yeah, he texted me some shots of the underside and it looked as presentable as the rest of the truck.

I actually love the thing and can't wait for it to get here, I was just so caught off guard by the seller accepting my offer I kinda spazzed out!

Anyway, looking forward to getting active on here and not just lurking around dreaming of owning one of these beasts!

a little on the high side w/ some upgrades and pm done, looks good and relatively lower miles... if it all is up to snuff and legit, you paid good money for less potential headaches.

eBay gives you shipping option through UShip. I've actually used them before to hire a transporter for furniture and other stuff and never had an issue. Got a good deal on a Challenger a few years back and had it shipped down from Massachusetts and everything worked fine. I've compared rates to more well known shippers like Reliable Transport and it's usually cheaper by about 10-15%. It's not cheap (about $900) but I've yet to come across anything within 500 miles on Craigslist, eBay, etc. that was as clean as this truck. It's worth it too if you get a vehicle that spent it's whole life in southern Cali, Arizona or something and much less likely to have rust.

15k is too much, i'm sure it will need a ton of maintenance. Definitely looks clean though! Don't drive it in a salty winter.

They are hard to find in that shape. Prices here in California are much higher than in other states. Good thing is that we don't have the rust issues here, so that's a plus. If you didn't get it for that price, someone else would have. You could have probably got it for a little cheaper, but whatever. You'll be stoked and forget about it soon enough.

i bought my 80 with 162,000mi for $4700. then spent 4500 for tires, suspension, belts, hoses, brakes, ARB frt bumper etc. if everything is properly maintained on this one its worth the 9 or 10g. but 15g is a little high imo.

I looked at this one on and off. Just didn't want to buy one I couldn't go see in person. Looks like it's in great shape and I love that color combo. 15k is a little high but I hope it all works out for you.

Honestly not sure what the craigslist ad is about. I've got pictures he's sent me of the title going into an envelope and the USPS tracking info for the letter. He's been real good to work with far. I was worried about the no sale history too but he told me he was listing it under his wife's account as he had used up all of his free eBay listings. Gave me his usual account and it had like 400ish positives and not a single negative. Also had some prior LC's he had listed with the exact same house in the background of the pics so seems legit.

Maybe the craigslist was an accidental/automatic re-list?
I sent a message using my sister-in-laws email about the Craigslist ad a few minutes ago

Hopefully he responds that it's not available otherwise I'll lawyer up and have his ass.
