1997 Lexus Lx450 . 226,000 miles. I purchased her from my doctor (true story)who pretty much just changed the oil, fixed whatever may need fixing and drove her. He owned her for 17 years. 2 owners, Clean Carfax, never in a accident. Got the Landcruiser bug and started the process. Front axle fully rebuilt with Timkin bearings, got the whole kit from cruiser Dan. Rebuilt the rear axle. ALL fluids changed, toyota red in the coolant. New hoses and vacuum lines. New 2.2 kwh denso starter and new fusible links. Fell in love with her and kept going, New front seats with center console and armrests from lseat, with new seat gears. Added heated seats while I was in there and a leather wheelskinz steering wheel cover. and let's not forget about the much needed cup holders ! All led interior lights installed.(WOW). Headlights upgraded and GM rear view mirror for compass and temp. Added a dvd/Bluetooth/GPS/Back up camera Stereo with pioneer speakers. Extended the diff breathers. New denso a/c condenser got the interior temps nice and chilly. Both front and rear heaters will cook you. Would drive her anywhere and I have ! 285/75 Cooper discover a/t 3's have less than 1000 miles! I have both keys and the first aid kit and owner's manual. I am aware of the headgasket debate and I promise you this one is fine. Even in summer the temp never reaches 1/2 way. Oh yeah...She was marking her spot in the garage when I got her, so new valve cover, distributer, front crank and oil pump gaskets replaced with Toyota gaskets. No more oil spots ! Of course I did a full tune up also. I know you're thinking she's from Indiana so she's rusty. NO she's not. Garage kept her whole life, She is not typical. There was the standard spot under the rear window fixed some years back. That's it! No problems turning bolts on this one. Paint is original, clear coat is good. A few blemishes yes, it is 20 years old. Everything works except the rear defog. Overall a fine example of the last 80 series. Not locked but I did add the center diff. switch.
