It's time to sell my beloved Cruiser. I've had it for about ten years. If I remember correctly, it had about 80k miles when I got it. It was regularly serviced at the dealer, just had an axle job done, and was in mint condition. Under pressure from the family, I finally caved in and bought a newer truck.
I'd like to get $6500. If that's too high; I'm open to offers, and would really like to see it go to a good home. I really love this truck. I've spent countless hours wrenching on it, and watched my kids grow up in it. I know I'm going to miss it dearly.
Here are some details:
White
Tan Leather
162k Miles
Deflared, holes rustproofed and plugged with plastic body plugs.
305/70 Firestone Destination A/T's, with about 90% tread, on stock wheels.
Fluids baselined when I bought it, and I've done them regularly since.
Always have run Mobil1 10w40 or 15w50 with big filters.
Redline in the diffs and TC
Valvoline Maxlife in the trans, with Toyota filters.
Kenwood Stereo with HD Radio and Sirius
o2 sensors replaced less than 5k miles ago, along with Dynaflow cat (which surface rusted very quickly, hasn't even seen snow yet), and Bosal exhaust system.
PHH done with silicone Hose and constant tension clamps less than 5k ago.
Heater pipes replaced with hose less than 5k ago.
Aftermarket, larger, PS cooler.
Rear rotors and pads recently replaced.
Front 100 series pads recently replaced.
Front mats replaced a few years ago, new rear mat still in plastic included.
Ugly wood interior trim stripped cleanly with no damage or residue.
Dealer installed AutoMate keyless entry and alarm that works fine. Two remotes included.
No accidents.
No body rust, except for a spot I poorly repaired on the very front lip of the hood.
I can't even begin to remember all the parts I've replaced over the years doing PM, etc. I always used dealer parts, or OEM brand.
I will include all spare parts I have on hand: set of new Toyota shocks, front axle kit, multiple sets of brake pads (Toyota or OEM Sumitomo), set of new front rotors, probably some oil filters, etc.
The bad:
I recently moved out of my house and haven't had a garage to keep up on my repairs. The truck has been sitting since then, about a year. It smells a little musty from sitting. I'm sure it will air out pretty quickly once it gets driven regularly. I've never had it in deep water and it's pretty much been a mall Cruiser all it's life. Katrina didn't hit here, so no flood car worries. Just trying to give an extremely detailed description.
I put a flex joint on the down pipe when I replaced the cat and it blew out, easy fix at a muffler shop. I bought a couple nice stainless, sleeve style, band clamps I'll include to do it with a short section of pipe, but I just don't have the time.
Antenna mast is broken.
Shocks are badly in need of replacement, but I have a new set of Toyota shocks from CDan that are included.
It's probably due for another front axle job soon, but a kit is included.
I will post up pics soon. If I get home too late tonight (darkness) to shoot them, I'll do it tomorrow. I'm in the Philadelphia area. I hope someone wants it locally; but if someone wants to ship, I'll do everything I can to assist. I had it shipped here from Kentucky when I bought it.
Just to let everyone know. I have a job where I don't have the luxury of talking on the phone about personal matters often. Please try to keep all communication through PM, on this thread, or give me your email. I have no problem getting on the phone if you're ready to stop by and take a look, arrange shipping, etc. Just trying to avoid offending anyone who replies quickly with a "give me a call at xxx-xxx-xxxx" PM.
Thanks.
Mike
