1997 FZJ80 For Sale

I talk to my veterinarian over the weekend and she is wanting to sell her 80 series.

It has 120k miles on it and she is the second owner. In the last 6 or so years she has had it, it has never been off road. It has been in California it's entire life. I asked her if it was the anniversary series and she looked at me with a dead stare. I don't see the stickers on the fenders so I'm guessing it's not.

She would like $10,500 for it. It is 100% stock.

Here is the link to the photos.

She'll have a bunch of competition and not much action at 10.5k
a grand lower and it should move fairly quickly.

I would love to buy it. i am still trying to work down from 15 vehicles.

I have AC in my 60. Now I hate rolling the window down.

My spotter now has a walkie talkie and so to I. If I really want to get some attention I use the PA feature on the CB.

AC has made me lazy. Happily Lazy that is.

inserting micro chips into horses?

to catch horse thieves or

You chip horses for the same reasons you'd chip a dog or cat, I'm assuming, in the event of it's running away, the owner can be traced.

You are correct.

The micro chip is the same for a horse as it is for a dog or cat. In the situation of a dog or cat running away, the animal shelter will scan the animal and call you if they find it. That being if some one turns it in to them.

In equestian it is more of theft or proof of ownership.

Registered Dutch Warm Blood increase in value about 100 times faster than a Diesel FJ45.

:D

I don't know if it has leather and is loaded or just a basic model.

FWIW, I don't think there's such thing as a basic model for FZJ's, at least in the US. They've all got leather and all are loaded. About the only option you've got is locked or unlocked, and color.

Jeez... I've got two 1997. Bought one with 124,000 miles on the clock, the other about 110,000. Paid $14,500 for one, $13,500 for the other. Took months of looking to find one in good enough shape. In this part of the country, I got a good deal. It suprises me how the prices change from region to region

:grinpimp: Now that is funny stuff.

I don't know much about stock the 80 series. The ones I wheel with or seen on the trail are a bit modified. No carpet, aftermarket seats, aftermarket lockers, etc.

There are US-spec cloth ones and I have even seen ones with non-sliding rear quarter windows and no sunroof.

My US spec model has manual leather seats (WTF?).
