It has not been in Alabama it's entire life. It was originally in TN. I bought it to replace my '94 (see sig) which is for sale.

So, I would sell the one I have for somewhere in the vicinity of 11.5-12,000. It's in good shape, but needs O2 sensors and a tune-up.

I paid 10,600 for it, and that includes a set of five steelies with brand new BFG M/T's and a bunch of spare parts, as well as slee-sliders. I've taken the crap wood trim s*** off and fixed some little things.

So, it's not really for sale, but everything has a price.

That's the one that was on Ebay, isn't it? I came really close to bidding 11k for it right before the auction ended. With the second set of tires and sliders, I thought it was a good deal.

That's the one. I had seen it before, and even offered to buy it, but the owner wouldn't take my business card. To be fair, there have been some little annoying issues, like some stains, a small gouge in the dashboard, and some loose air vents, but overall, I've been very satisfied.

very interested in this 80. Still for sale? how does it drive? can i get a picture of the dent? I'm going by the bank to see about a loan

It drives perfectly well. It's been all over the place (NC to Texas and back once a year, for example), is great on the highway, great off road. We usually travel 900+ miles on day one of our trip to the Roundup. Try that in a 40.

Here's the dent. Doesn't interfere with the hatch.

You might also think about eLoan or Capital One.

Appreciate the interest -- yes, I still have it. The plan is back to eBay tonight.

well, i did not get the loan :crybaby: My credit is fine, but I don't make enough money for it (college kid with part time job) I went through e-loan. I will try with capital one. Does anyone have any advice? what ticked me off the most is that I have enough credit limit on my cards I could pay off the loan I want 3x!

I don't recommend putting it on a credit card. I don't think that would be financially prudent.

Fellas -

Please keep chat to a minimum and the post subject focused on inquiries about this fine 80.

It's getting closer....

What does the supercharger do to the longevity of the motor? Any idea what would be causing the hesitation between 1st and 2nd? Tranny maybe? From the pics the dent looks like it didn't touch the actual hatch itself, just the rear pillar.

the wife says I can bid as long as I quit shopping for another 80:)

I can't speak to the supercharger question without speculating. Ask a dozen people, get a dozen opinions. This motor has been babied though. I don't know what causes the hesitation. Hasn't been happening lately. The transmission shop diagnosed it as a non-issue. No, the dent is not on the hatch.

If your wife has given the green light, what are you waiting for...? :D
