Time to sell my Land Cruiser. I am no longer interested in owing a Land Cruiser, I own a Hummer H1 and Dodge Viper as extra vehicles. The Land Cruiser is the least collectible of the group and the reason for my decision to sale.

130k miles. I have put less than 10k miles on the truck since I purchased it in 2004.

1997 40th ANNIVERSARY ED. (#0277)

~6" lift, Slee 6" rear springs, OME 850J front springs with spacers, lowered bump stops, longer ss brake lines, OME L shocks, castor plates, adjustable pan hard bars, adjustable rear upper control arms, custom TOYOTA double cardon joint front and rear drive shafts

36x13.50 Iroks, 4.88 gears (setup by ZUK and listed on his site), oem e-lockers, DBA sloted front rotors with Toyota 100 series brake pads, new standard rear rotors with Adaptive One hybrid ceramic pads

ARB front bumper, 12.5k Superwinch (Dayton labeled), TJM rear bumper, tire carrier was removed and cut down to just the swing arm to re-position the tire but never finished, will be included as is

Raptor lined flares, trimmed rear flares and mud flaps to help clear the larger tires under full compression

Toyota oem sub tank, oem transfer pump with george's custom control info here http://www.george4wd.taskled.com/auxtank.html

Dual batteries, (only primary battery included), battery isolator, marine switch for self jump starts and dual power for winch

Power inverter mounted inside rear panel, custom stereo using all stock speaker mounting (no cutting), cb mounted in place of the ash tray

Center diff lock switch (can be locked in high range), oem cup holder, new windshield, LX450 wood trim package, remote start alarm

All receipts, all proper maintenance performed by me personally, birfields, rear hubs, fluids, head gasket replaced as pm in 2009

I am meticulous with all of my vehicles. My cruiser has lived it's whole life in the garage but I have on occasion taken it 'wheeling so there will be light pin striping if you look hard enough at the paint. There is also slight wear on the driver's seat. I can send detailed pictures of the truck to any seriously interested party.

Holy shnikeys!
It seems as the world has been turned upside down if Ben is selling his rig. He once told me he would never sell this as he built it to one day move to outer Mongolia to live with his cruiser. So to see it for sale is quite shocking. Reading the above post is a mere passing at the description with which he has treated this cruiser. Very understated!

By far one of the cleanest, well maintained and tastefully modded 80's on mud and i have seen. Ben you're selling it too cheap for sure!

<--must unload his 80 FAST to buy this one :)

Thanks Josh. I feel the truck is worth $20k+ but I want it out of the way. I probably have my asking price in just the parts alone so it would save someone the cost of buying a truck.

For those who have asked how it drives -- I drove it from San Antonio, TX to Long Beach, CA in 2007 for Toyota's 50th anniversary. Speed limits in west TX are 80mph and the truck had no issues keeping (passing) up with traffic. It was also the ONLY 40th in attendance and those who where there can attest to the quality of the truck.

Searching the forum will yield several 3rd party endorsements about the quality of my truck (thanks LandCrusher'70 to my quick search results) or as Josh mentioned, several local members can personally attest.

GLWS. I remember this cruiser all too well when I really had the 80 series bug years ago. I have thought about selling the 80 myself, but I have spent too much time and money on her.. GLWS, and hope you cross paths with another cruiser in the future. Good luck Ben.

You still going to come to a meeting once in a while?
