CONDITION - INTERIOR
All leather seats show some very light cracking from age but no rips or tears. The seats do not require any repair. Carpet is generally clean Headliner is generally clean, no major stains. Sunvisors don't droop! The map net is missing off the back of the driver's seat. The delaminated wood trim has been removed. I have used small pieces of black leather in some places of the console for trim. The color has been worn off the top of the steering wheel, but this is not particularly noticeable. The third row seats are included and they are in fine shape.
CONDITION - EXTERIOR
Paint is very shiny and the truck looks sharp. Has some chips and minor scratches that are normal with age, but no dents or significant dings. There are 3-4 places where bird poop has etched the paint. The hood was repainted because a PO had done a poor paint job on the hood to fix the bird poop issue there. I had the entire hood stripped and repainted at a quality shop. I have used black outdoor vinyl on the roof to cover the holes where the rack and deflector were. No dents. No rust, other than what was under the roof rack/deflector. That has been fixed, although the paint on the roof is not as pretty as the rest of the truck.
CONDITION - MECHANICAL
The engine is bone dry from leaks, other than a very minor seep at the rear main seal. It does not seep enough to ever drip. Seriously, show me a Land Cruiser that does not seep a little bit there. The engine starts and runs very well, idles smoothly, and does not smoke. It has the normal start-up rattle from the timing chain tensioner when cold. I have been able to get the rattle to go away with different oil filters and weight of oil, but I can never remember what combo works. It has the normal exhaust whistle under acceleration. Brakes work fairly well. Nothing on the truck requires mechanical repair. I would drive this truck across country and back with no reservations (other than the price of gas). The head gasket is original, AFAIK, but no white smoke, no crud on the dipstick, and no bubbles in the overflow reservoir. The truck runs perfectly and drives very well.
MINOR ANNOYANCES -
One of the LED interior bulbs is going out. The bulb needs to be replaced. It can be found for $3 on eBay. The D light is out (duh). I have the bulb to fix it and will include it with the truck. The windshield (OEM Toyota) does not leak at all, but does seem to squeak a little when it's cold outside. The sunroof has a small rattle but does not leak at all. You can't hear it with the sunshade closed.
BOTTOM LINE:
This is a locked low mileage truck that looks really good, already has bumper/lift/sliders, and needs nothing. Everything works. All the maintenance is done for now. I'm selling the LC to buy a GX 470.
