I want to tell you about an advertisement I saw on eBay for a special car called a 1994 Toyota DJ81 supercharge. It seemed really amazing, but I was a bit suspicious. Luckily, my cousin was visiting Florida for Thanksgiving and went to the shop that the seller said the car was at. The shop is a well-known place for off-road vehicles, and they did have a white FJ40 for sale. However, they did not have the DJ81 that I was interested in.

It wasn't on the premises for him to view or the seller didn't have the vehicle in inventory?

FYI: There is no such thing as a "DJ81," that truck is a FZJ80 with an aftermarket supercharger. Also, since it's a 1994, it doesn't have any passenger airbags.

My opinion: Buying a used car in South Florida is only slightly less risky than buying one in New Jersey, which is to say I wouldn't do it.

The seller gave me the address of a business that customizes off road vehicles. Neither the seller or the vechile were at the address given. Having owned a ‘96 FZJ80 and a ‘97 Lexus LX450. I knew that the ‘94 did not have airbags.

I think I saw it sold on one of the facebook 80 series page. It also looks like a repaint. Hopefully the buyer didn’t get hosed.
