If you're interested in that one I'll sell you mine for an even $100k. :flipoff2:

:D Me thinks that the dollar sign is a bit mis-placed

$7,000 is in the neighborhood, it would be nice to find one with locks however. Have you looked at it yet?

Damn, I was already thinking about how to spend that coin, "baby, tell the kids they ain't gonna get no education after all."

Price certainly doesn't seem bad. Might try asking around the LoneStar cruiser club. With an ARB on there, odds are they're affiliated with something.

Opps....I just cut and pasted that from autotrader. Lockers are not a big deal to me, not using it that much for off roading. And hearing about some of the problems, I even may try to avoid lockers, since they would go unused for what I am looking to do. Manly dd with some weekend fun.

Thanks!

ps- I have not looked at it yet, I am in Abilene...500 miles from Houston....got to love Texas! haha :flipoff2:

What problems are you referring to?

I thought I had read something about them not working correctly if they didn't get enough use. Or was this just aftermarket ones? Or was I drunk and trying to read the board? haha..thanks for any help. I just read the Diff for Dummies...Hmmm maybe I do NEED lockers.

TX_TLC,
The only issues with the e-lockers are from not being used. If you're not planning to use them then that is certainly no reason to avoid buying a vehicle with the highly sought after option. In very, very few cases have unused lockers needed anything more than excercising before they started working again. They atrophy.

Beowulf,

Thank you for the explanation. Just hope lockers don't bust my budget. I would rather have a LC with out lockers than no LC at all.

Most people don't even know they have them, so price is usually not much different.

Talked to the owner over the phone and he said the truck has an unidentified oil leak and uses apx 2/3 quart between changes. Does the fzj80 have the rear main leak like the earlier ones do?

OH...thanks for the info...anyone? Rear main leak problem?

>> Rear main leak problem? <<

Possible. More likely is oil pan; upper or lower.

The price seems good until you find out Landpimp found me a 94 with lockers for 5K US

I am still smiling over that deal and my wife loves her cruiser.

Good luck with your search.

What was the mileage on your 94 Rob?

Sweeeeeet, wish I had access to the Landpimp before I purchased my 94 w/ 150k miles. Total cost for me after all the services will be $10000. Bought it for $7900
