So after some discussion, negotiation, and bargaining, I have decided to devote my time to my other hobby of motorcycling, and part of the negotiation with wifey includes the sale of the Land Cruiser. Its been a great vehicle for the past year and hopefully it will make someone else as happy.

VEHICLE:
May 1993 HDJ81, VX Limited, 161k km's. No lockers, A442 auto tranny.

HISTORY:
I purchased the truck from mainland Japan while I was stationed in Okinawa. It was my daily driver for about 9 months until I PCS'd back to the states. Shipped it back to Oklahoma on the governments dime. All legal importation and now has a clear Oklahoma title. I do drive it regularly between Edmond, OK and Tinker AFB.

EXTERIOR:
- Factory green paint. I do believe the previous owner had the spare tire carrier removed, had the holes filled in, and the back part of the truck painted. I can see the fill job on the rear hatch from the latch.
- Other paint is in probably 6-10 condition. Top of the front fender has some clear coat aging. Clear is also starting to peel in some spots on the fender flares as well as under the rear cargo windows.
- 16" unknown brand wheels with almost new 315 BFG A/T KO's.
- Unknown lift that was installed by dealer I bought from. It has pro comp springs and yellow springs, possibly TJM. Never been able to find any markings.

INTERIOR:
- Manual seats, console fridge (which circulates air, but its not super cold). All power windows/locks function. A/C is R134 and works and blows cold.
- Has a Japanese aftermarket touch screen radio that unfortunately only goes up about 89.9 mHz. I think it has bluetooth, but all the menus are in Japanese.
- Seats, headliner, carpets are all in excellent condition.
- Sunroof works; both tilt and slide.

ENGINE:
- 1HD-T with 161k kms. Sticker says timing belt was replaced at 98k kms. Before I shipped it home, I changed the oil.
- ACSD has been deleted by me.
- BEB's have not yet been replaced. I have a set in my possession with new connecting rod bolts I purchased from Steve at LCD, but have not installed them yet.

RUST:
- It has a spot in the front right fender well slightly smaller than a golf ball.
- Bottoms of the doors were starting to show, so in Okinawa I took an abrasive wheel, sanded down and layed about a 1 inch stirip of POR15 on the exterior as well as tried to get as much inside the door as I could.

Since I have owned it, I deleted the ACSD, flushed cooling and added fresh Toyota red coolant. I replaced the 4 belt moldings on the doors and added a set of LandCruiser Phil's gullwing windows. I still have the factory rear non-sliding windows.

Inlcuded with purchase are the new set of BEB's as well as a full 3" turbo back Redback Exhaust, ordered from Australia. Its a modular bolt up exhaust that has the option of a straight pipe or straight through muffler. I still plan on having these installed, but as they get installed the price will firm up. I just recently replaced the ATF as well as drained/refilled both diffs and the transfer case.

With the exception of the lift, I believe this truck has been unmolested. Engine runs smooth and strong. Im sure Ive missed a lot, so if you have questions, please dont hesitate to ask. I can get you pictures or videos of whatever you'd like to see. Truck is located in Edmond, OK, just north of Oklahoma City.

I'm asking $13,000 firm. Thanks for looking.

beautiful truck. I think I saw its original posts

GLWS, wish I was in the market I love these

Yeah, I had high hopes, but I just picked up a motorcycle and am looking forward to getting back into the early 40's midlife crisis biker gang all my old friends here in OK have started while I was in Japan.

So I just ran over to Cruiser Corps here in OKC to inquire about having the exhaust install done. Got to talking to Mike the owner and he asked what I was selling it for. I told him my asking price and he said in his opinion, based on condition, I'm underpriced. So with that said, I'm not raising my price, but holding firm. If you see it on some other sites listed higher, consider the current price an IH8Mud discount, lol. I just took a bunch more pics, I'll update tonight.

Thank you for you service, really cool story how you got the truck and shipped it back. Probably the easiest way for someone to get one in the country. Best wishes, have fun on the motorcycle

So the deal with the guy in Purcell fell through. He flaked on me today. Truck is once again for sale.
