This Cruiser has only been in South Carolina for 2 years, Colorado for 4 yrs before that. It is originally a Florida vehicle so it has not seen all the crap on the roads for very long.
Four brand new Nitto tires Dura Grappler 33” 7,000 miles

Has seen about 5 miles off road in its life
I have the 3rd row seats, they just aren’t in the pictures
I made a drawer system with a non skid top. Shows very dirty in the photos and is. Pet gate is easily removable.

The bad:
Typical vibration and noise associated with the 4bta, but puts our kids to sleep on the long road trips
The CD player hasn’t worked in about 15 yrs…. I listen to Sirius or ipod
Right front fender flare is cracked on underside but isn’t visible unless looking under the vehicle

I hate to see her go (especially when she’s all cleaned up for pictures), but it’s time for me to move back into a pickup truck. I made a photobucket account with more pictures: FZJ80 Cummins 4bta swap pictures by Frank_Middleton - Photobucket

I have never used Photobucket, so I apologize in advance for any problems with the link. Let me know if you need more photos!

I am asking $[STRIKE]19,500.[/STRIKE] $17,500.

You might have, but it was not smog legal, and if it was, I would like to know how they did it.
With the new laws, it is against the law to put a 4bt cummins in any vehicle in the USA. But with that being said, if someone lives in a Non Emissions State or county, they can get away with what ever they want. I think the laws against the 4bt is total B.S., but the gov. wants to have more and more control everyday over our lives.

since when? and what? as long as the donor is the same year or newer and retains all of the oem equip it is fine.

The 4bt was never offered in a light truck or SUV platform. In order to be smog legal the engine has to come from a similar platform or a passenger car. You can't legally swap a medium duty engine into a light truck.

Sorry for the thread hyjack.

Have you used this to tow at all? If so how many pounds can you comfortably tow?

You also cannot put a 12 valve cummins in just any vehicle. It has to been over 8500 GVWR, and it cannot be anything newer that has electric fuel pumps.
My buddy has a 97' Ford Power Stroke. He wanted to put a 1997 12valve Cummins in it, they told he could not because the Ford has an electric feul pump and computer, and the 12valve does not. Now he can put a 24valve Cummins in it legally because of the electric pump. The gov. is anal about putting older tech stuff into newer vehicles.

4 years ago, I wanted to put A 4bt Cummins into my 1990 excab Toyota truck. Colorado back then, said it was fine, but now the laws have changed and I can't do it, unless I lived somewhere else :)

Correct. But then again, if the person lives in a state or county that does not have vehicle emissions or inspections, you can do whatever you want, its just not legal with todays communists American laws.
And by the way, the Colorado gov. is pushing to have emissions state wide, they just want our money.

Not to hi-jack from the OP but,
Towing has a LOT more to do with just the engines power. Legally, you cannot tow more than 5000lbs (in the US). Though, i am sure this engine and pull a lot more than that.

I've towed a 2500 lb boat a few times as well as a 16' trailer loaded down with materials a number of times. I also pulled a 26' boat out at the landing with amazing ease, but didn't pull her far. I have the water pump for the after cooler on a seperate switch/ a seperate system than the radiator, and the egt's drop significantly when in use during towing.

Now to sell mine

Great price! I'd gladly sell my locked 97' for a nonlocked cummins diesel! Gonna start shopping mine around. Bump.
