Go to the mexican smog shop across from the DMV in Victorville. Leave a Benjamin on the seat. They will pass anything. My race truck passed with open headers.

I have the 80 with Virgil at Toy masters in studio city. Sounds like it's carbon build up in the intake and timing. Having him do a bunch of other stuff while he has it. Heater hoses, drive shaft grease, timing, radiator flush.
Should pass after this.

Timing should have been checked as part of the visual inspection. Although with all the aforementioned stuff your having done. It should pass...

Obviously I mean it should pass after the emissions stuff is done not the heater hose or grease etc..
