1993 BJ77 (turbo diesel) in excellent condition with no rust and 370k kms. Any idea on what you would pay for something like this?

i believe that’s an LJ77 or KZJ78 prado (light duty land cruiser). typically $13-22k depending on what exact power train you have (auto vs manual, engine etc) i think. but some of the nicer 1KZ’s with 5 speeds do go for 30k in some cases.

I think you are correct. Thats the model the seller has it listed as. It has a 2L-T Turbo Diesel, 5spd and seems to be in excellent condition. Starts right up and no rust anywhere. Heres a few more photos.

That color really pops. 👍
It really does. I just need to figure out if it’s a model worth investing in? I don’t think the salesman knows what it is exactly so that’s no help. Lol I’ll ask him for the vin# tomorrow.

Are you positive it’s a diesel and not a gas burner (RJ77)?

100% positive it’s a diesel. Doe s that make a huge difference? Sorry I’m completely new to Landcruisers.
I was just looking at the tach redline which seemed high for a diesel but I’ll readily admit I know very little about the 2L.

If there was a way to post the video I would. There is absolutely no doubt it’s a diesel. Has D-TURBO 2-LT plaque on top of the engine. One more angle here.

I think @joekatana has experience with the 2L and 2L-T. Perhaps he will chime in.

Unless I'm mistaken that is an LJ77 because it has the 2L-T. The LJ78 had a 2L-TE, and the LJ79 had a 3L.

That is how all the LJ7x should have been built!! That is the 2LT-II motor: mechanical injection and no suffocating EGR system. Manual transmission and LHD to boot. Very nice truck!

Thanks! What are your thoughts on pricing? Anything specific to look for when I go view it?

If it's something you've wanted, and something you like, isn't anything worth investing in?
Youre not wrong. 😉 I just want to make sure its not an undesirable model. For example, I previously owned a 2002 VW TDI Wagen 5spd, which is a unicorn among VW TDIs. If I would’ve bought the auto version, exact opposite, the autos are worth a fraction of the manual versions.
