Sometimes you can tell if the cruiser has been repainted simply by that trim....(they just paint over it and it gets color matched to the rest of the body which isn't how factory does it).

Edit: If anyone wonders why a painter leaves the trim on.......behind the trim are pegs that go into a hole. I guess used as a guide for placement at the factory. If you remove the trim, there are holes that would have to be closed up.

I do believe the seller when he says all is original, ie the trim, but I cannot verify until I see it in person.

From the photos you shared, I am pretty sure it is OEM trim just like the example shown in the photo I posted up. It is a good sign that it is not painted either.

Thanks and I agree! By the way whatever I buy will be a Texas truck! 😉🤙

Agreed , its the original trim, but the trim is also a rust magnet. Im guessing if it just needs a compressor and regas, you would be looking at a $1000US to get it working.

How is the side trim a rust magnet? I am just not seeing how it can be. If anything is a rust magnet on the LWB models...it is the rear trim around the bumper cladding. I don't know what Toyota engineer thought that up because it shows up on every single LWB 76/77/78prado model from basic poverty pack to high end packages.

Water+ dirt= rust Ive seen a lot of the 90 series Prados rust out under the external plastic door trim.

I don’t know the reason o end use that you intent to do with this truck , nor where you want to use it .
BUT , in Europe the old diesel car/trucks , tipicly euro 1-2-3-4 , emission , are outlawed in many regions cities .
You are not allowed to drive them any longer .
Or you will get fined or car pounded .
All this to say , price what it is worth …..
In Europe not much , depending which emission euro it is .
Pls not that in the next years , euro 5 and 6 will be difficult as well !
Take a look on autoscout 24 for a comparison .
But despite the final price it might be impossible to
Use it in the next comming years .
Already now if you plan to go in some cities !
I have a very nice HZJ 78 , euro 2 , had to ship it to South Africa , impossible to use it freely here .

Yes I am already aware of that. I drive to and from a U.S. military base so I’m fine while here, until I head back to the states but I appreciate the heads up. ;) We have my wife’s Honda Fit for any other travel and it’s nice and small for some of the tiny streets and parking garages. I always scratch my head when I see other service members ship their full size pickups here.
