1992 Hilux flatbed

Hi guys,
i`m pascal,I`m 18 and i`m from Germany. I have a 1992 Toyota Hilux xtra Cab and i want a Flatbed. Can you tell what are the most important things when i`m going to build a Flatbed.
And can you post some pictures of your Beds that i can get some ideas.

Hey Pascal,

Dont have a flatbed, but most folks like to add a "head ache rack" at the back of the cab to keep anything your hauling from flying through the glass if you get in a collision. With the off road crowd they tend to be built to work as a roll bar as well.

The other thing would be stake pockets, so you can add sidewalls to it in case your moving something like dirt, gravel etc.

Here'd mine. Still a work in progress. I used 4x4 and 2x4 studs for the framing and white oak planks for the decking. I built pockets along the outside for stakes. I haven't built rail-side boards yet. two things I need to do is build a triangle brace to tie the headboard to the bed side and a headache rack for the rear window.
