1992 FJ80 Sunroof Glass Replacement

Good morning. I've been searching for instruction on replacing the sunroof glass in my 92' FJ80 and have had no luck. I found a thread on another site that's promising but it doesn't confirm what model year LC they're talking about. I was praying that a member here could confirm it it's just removing the plastic trim around the glass and then the bolts that hold the glass in? It's just the glass that needs replaced. Everything else works. Any direction, instruction or knowledge anyone can provide is appreciated.

Thanks for the lead. I've tried hard to have a deeper relationship with Search lately and let me tell you, she's playing hard to get. I've done a lot of searches but none that I can find cover just the glass removal. Everything I've found is R2 of the entire sunroof assembly.

To my knowledge the only difference between early and late 80s regarding sunroof and surrounding area is the change to a one piece headliner in the later trucks. Glass removal is the same regardless. Remove interior trim, remove nuts from inside, lift glass/seal assembly out noting location of any shims.

What @mingles said. I have both sunroofs in my shop from a 96 and a 94, tore them down to sell, and they were same.

Removing sunroof glass

After just going to the car to try and pinpoint a squeak I ended up removing the glass in 5min. It's a very easy job should you want to do it. With the roof tilted up pry the side moldings on the glass off with a scraper. With the plastic removed you will see 3 M10 bolts on each side...
