Hi all!
Have been having to use cruiser to launch boat and necessary for cruiser to quite deep in water (above back rim tyre level!). This has been weekly activity for the last few months and had used 4wd quite a few times recently. Mentioning this as must be water that has caused the problem.
Unfortunately this last time, the 4wd did not engage using the CDL switch or engaging in Low gear. 4wd def not engaging as front shaft free to rotate. The CDL indicator light does not come on either at the dashboard.
Can hear the CDL switch noise when switching on and off at the bottom right of the steering wheel. However the motor or actuator has no response and certainly not locking the 4wd.
From research it sounds like the actuator to be the problem???
I also tried shorting the CDL transfer sensor with the paper clip and the CDL light still does not come on but the noise by the steering wheel can still be heard. What does this mean? Does it mean the electrics are functioning and confirms the actuator the problem?????
Please please please any comments or feedback will be most welcome and appreciated.
A cruiser without 4wd is useless to me!!!!
