I have a 1990 hilux crew cab for sale....solid front axle from the factory!

4.3l vortec from 1995 chevy blazer with fresh 4l60e coupled to dual cases w/ marlin adapters. 4" marlin springs and 2" body lift to clear the drivetrain. Transmission coolers all plumbed. This was going to be my baby, but once again, life throws you some curveballs every so often.

I have a topper for the rear of the truck, matching white in color.

The front seats were replaced with cloth 4 runner seats when I got it. This truck originally was a diesel, but was replaced when it started to use more oil than diesel. it was an L engine, so it wasn't anything too powerful.

Currently, the axles have 5.29 gears in it, but included with the sale are 4.11 thirds with a factory e-locker and a detroit. Wiring for the elocker is included. I haven't had much road time in this since the engine was replaced. Marlin Crawler high steer w/ IFS box. Headers to brand new cat and exhaust. My guess is that it would not pass CA smog due to the headers and the fact that I didn not use the blazer air intake. I have also mounted an A-pillar gauge that has oil pressure and temperature, in addition to the stock gauges.

Has an ARB front bumper with Warn winch. Rear tube bumper is set in place, but I need to weld it in for the final fit. No A/C, maual windows, manual locks.

35" mtr's with a 35" spare on 2" bs wheels

What else is needed?
1. sliders
2. I would think you want to put in the lockers front and rear
3. wheel it!

Located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

I did not bring this vehicle in, but bought it here in Virginia.

$9,500 obo

MORE PICS:bounce:

Did you use the blazer cpu. How is the elec shifting done!!! Truck sounds awesome!

It has the blazer cpu. Wiring harness modifications were done by Jim's Performance. It retained the 2 o2 sensors...more pictures to come tomorrow

It has a 23 spline input on the front case...

Here are some additional photos that I took today:

I need to get the exhaust shop to finish the piece of tubing to go between the engine and the air cleaner...I had a piece of pvc to prototype what they need to make. There a few wires that need to be wrapped in the final bundle that I'll take care of later this week:

I mounted the drivetrain as high as possible to get a damn near flat belly:

I haven't finished mounting the rear bumper yet...I want to move it up another two inches and then weld it in place:

that is really nice. it makes me wonder two things, how do i get $9500, and why on earth was that never released here in the us? stuff like that would sell like hotcakes. and i bet the accelerator pedal doesn't stick either.

Oh man, I wish you were closer!! I would buy that in a heartbeat, super cool! Then I could take the poser HILUX badges off my wifes Tacoma!

I haven't put the floor mat back in yet....

the blazer I got the drivetrain out of had a rebuilt engine...so I don't know the actual miles of the engine, but the blazer had 120k on it, so it probably doesn't have too many miles on it...

Can it be driven as is? Could it make a trip to SC? What kind of title does it have? Where was it imported from? Thanks

Steven

i would guess that it was imported from central america, but I have no idea...it was here in Virginia when I bought it. I have a few little house keeping things to wrap up on it, like bolting in the front driveshaft.

it has a virginia title, although it has 1985 on it for the date. The vin matches the frame and vin plate and title however.

I could trailer it to you for a few extra $$

I have a trailer and a sister in law in your area.

How does it handle and drive down the road? Have you driven it on the open highway? Any drive line vibes? I have a 91 4Runner that I'm getting ready to swap in a 96 4.3 vortec into but would rather have your truck.

Can you email me your best price? nezsm76@yahoo.com

I took an L NA diesel that used 8 quarts of oil on a 4 hour trip and replaced it with a crawling machine....

"hey gas station guy, can you fill 'er up with oil and check the diesel?" :grinpimp:

Bump for a seller who has owned some cool trucks. What will you have left?

I haven't put enough miles on it yet to tell...

It also depends if you decide to keep the 5.29 or swap in the lockers and 4.11. I would think that you'd be in the mid teens.

Bump for a great guy

Here's a plug for Mr Koerner, he and I have made a few deals over the years(!!!) and he is a great guy to deal with. Good luck selling a cool truck, I remember seeing it with the DND (damn near dead) original diesel engine before the swap. Hell, that was at the last Coal Mine event at Paragon, eh?

BK- you'll always have a ride in one of my rigs when you come to PA to wheel!!!! Gary S
