CAD or USD?

FYI, now that this rig is more than 25 years old, it is very simple to import into the states. all it takes is bill of sale and pink slip. once they are older than 25 years you do not have to go through a registered importer. DOT regs state that vehicles newer than 25 years need to go through an importer. fly there, drive it home, walk into the DMV and done. best friend bought a 70 series from Canada a couple years ago and it is really that easy. the HDJ81's are no longer unicorns in the states... now if you could just find them in LHD!!!

But the question is has anybody tried to register that 25 year old unicorn in California - recently within the past 12 months? Will DMV send you back to Canada/Japan to find birth certificate or school records for said unicorn.

Not trying to hijack the thread because I am interested but I get that with 25 years that it's easy to import. My issue is trying to figure out if I could have it shipped without doing a fly and drive.

Well let me know how it happens. I'd be willing to meet or beat your asking price with a few more pictures.
