Well the time has come. I said this was the one truck that I would never sale, but I am ready to move on. 1990 FJ-75 pickup legally titled and registered in Georgia, title in hand. This truck is very clean and only has 143,XXX kilometers (89,XXX miles). Carburated 3f engine, h55 transmission, split case and full floater rear axle. 4.11 gears in the diffs and this truck will cruise on the interstate at 70 mph turning 2150 rpms.

All of the work that has been done to the truck has been done within the last year.

New OE non-winch bumper
OME heavy 2.5" lift complete
33x10.50x15 B.F. Goodrich A/Ts
Asian locking hubs
new radiator
new thermostat, waterpump, and clutch fan
new hoses and belts where needed
rebuilt carburator
completely new front brakes
Redline RT-90 in transmission
CD/ipod radio with new speakers
tool box in bed
new oil pan gasket

The truck has no leaks and no problems. The factory water temp. gauge does not work in the gauge cluster, so I installed a mechanical gauge that works great. I just put the OE non-winch bumper on the truck, but I still have the chrome factory winch bumper also. In fact I have the old springs and the factory radio also.

The previous owner had the doors painted and new rubber installed and he also took the bed off to undercoat and paint. This truck was one of the trucks that came from Kansas State University. Mine belonged to the Geology Department and was sold by them on GSA.gov about three years ago. Two more of these trucks were used by the Agriculture Department and the were sold on PurpleWave.com.

i am very much interested in your rig, however i live at about 7k feet in durango, CO and moutain passes are frequently traveled. do you think the 3f would be able to pull alright?

samsher,

Sorry, I would not be able to give an good answer to this question. I drove the truck to GSMTR last year in Sparta, TN and that is probably the highest elevation the truck has seen. It did fine, I mean I did down shift out of 5th, but I really don't have anything to compare it to. Since the truck has the h55, I can tell you it is a lot more fun to drive that the auto transmission in the fj62.

Does this engine have emissions crap on it or not?

No emissions to speak of, it does have some type of charcoal cannister, but no egr, cats, or anything like that. The engine bay is totally original to Middle East Specs. Only thing added under the hood it the Vintage Air Kit.

HTH. I can send more pictures if needed, but it is not the typical nightmare of vacume hoses.

This truck is the shizzzzzzz.

Did you get this off a guy in Savannah? I thought I saw one driving around city market a few years back when I was visting. Nice truck

Dang! Nice rig. I need sumthing like that to haul around stuff in the woods for my job. do they make a camper top for it?

Power steering? check.
5-speed trans? check.
Air Con? check.
Diesel? bzzzt.

4 outta 5 on the dream cruiser checklist is still pretty good.

PS: Added bonus- the steering wheel is on the correct side!

Thanks Jim. For a person who works on so many carburators, I would think you would be a fan of the gas engine.

Shoot, throw a FE throttle body on there and WHAMMO! you have 3FE Powa!!!!!!:grinpimp:

I'm definitely a fan of your 75 series.:bounce:

And FTR, I like sparky engines.
But I loves oilhammer engines.
