I am offering up my 1988 FJ62 Landcruiser for sale ($4500). I am reluctant to let her go, but I need to make room in the garage for a new driver in the household this summer along with better gas mileage. I primarily use her as a daily driver to and from work (8 mi), however have had her as far east as Fargo, ND and as far south as Tucson, AZ. I picked her up 4 years ago from the original owner who happened to be a Toyota mechanic at the Yota dealership down the hill from me in 1988. She starts on the first turn of the key EVERY TIME (even in subzero temps), idles smoothly, and tracks straight down the road. The odometer depicts the actual mileage at just over 153k. The fluids have all been maintained on a regular basis and she has not ever been seriously off-roaded beyond the occasional forest road to claim a x-mas tree. NO leaks onto the garage floor. The following are some of the specifics:
IMPROVEMENTS: OME suspension (installed approx. 3 years ago 15” Eagle alloys w/ 31x10.5 BFG AT KOs (installed approx 3 years ago), New heavy duty radiator, New alternator, New battery, Full window tint.
INTERIOR: The gray interior is all original. Headliner is flawless, plastics are all good, dash pad has a couple cracks, seat upholstery is in great cond. Gray sheepskins installed on front seat for comfort, however orig. seat upholstery is fine. All factory decals at interior are A+ condition. All electrical works as original. Original am/fm stereo/speakers rock! Orig. owner had snap-in protective mat custom made for cargo area (included). Carpet is in god shape for 23yo rig. Original owners manual still in dealer’s pouch. All power windows/locks functional. Orig. power antennae works as well. Still have orig.key.
EXTERIOR: The paint is the original Gray metallic that first owner had protective clear coat applied to. Few minor (dime to quarter) dings in body at side panels (door dings?). Typical body rust at right front fender behind wheel well, rear lift gate at window seal, and at driver’s door bottom front and back. Rear bumper has some surface rust and probably needs to be replaced with another (I have one that’s included). Basically stock.
