Not sure how long u have followed the for sale classifieds here- but George (orange45) recently sold one with 5spd for $5500IIRC--and another one was on here for about same. Just an FYI in case you want a bit more interest or are wondering why the crickets.

Yeah. Looks like I was a little overly optimistic. I just know I put $5-6k of work into it with the transmission and radiator replacement etc.

So how about this way, if someone is interested, let me know what you think is a good offer. Maybe we can make a deal.

Josh,,So how deep is that hole under the silver tape? Also is there another spot on the roof that is like the one covered with silver tape. I am interested in Buying the rig, use it as a Daily Driver, but add little touches for a weekend camper. Drive to work is not too long, but worried about insane gas consumption. Any idea ? have you been tracking the MPG with the H55's in place. Let me know. I am definitely interested in the vehicle.

So for the mpg question. I do almost entirely in-town driving and get around 14-15mpg. Not great, but it is what it is. I got 21mpg on a tank on that was entirely interstate, but never went about 60-65mph. I haven't went through and cleaned injectors and give the intake a once over. That would likely improve things a little.

As for the foil tape on the roof. Yes, there's 2 spots right at the back passengers side corner. They're full on holes that need either bondo, or sheet metal (my plan).

I'll take a few more pics tomorrow and post them up if I can.

Just making a point about his question. Not being that way, anyway. I have owned so many cruisers that i would never be that way with someone eles interested in the same thing rig i was. Anyway this rig is a little over priced right now anyway for me and most MUD members but it has the 5spd!!!!!!

Hey all,

Have had some bites, but nothing came through yet, so I bumping again.

The guys at ACC Toyota Truck & Land Cruiser looked it over about a week ago for one potential buyer. Basic observation I got from them was that it's what you'd expect from an 88. Drives fine, has it's little issues. H55F conversion is good to go. I'm sure they'd give you the details if you called them and asked about it.

Dropping the price too. It's killing me, but I gotta.

Tranny, no. Trans case, yes. It's still in the truck. The transfer case was rebuilt, not replaced.
