For Sale 1987 2F

1987 2f with 227,000. Head was done about 10k ago by Mudrak. Cost over 2k. This is a fully dressed motor. Compression numbers are 135-140 across all cylinders.

I bought this 2F as described above about 1 year ago and ended up not needing it. I have hung onto it because it is an extremely clean motor.
I took the smog stuff off. I do have the smog pump and power steering pump. The Aisin carb looks to be a factory replacement that was done not to long ago.
Also comes with a newer clutch and bellhousing

1500$ and I am very firm on that.

Located in Klamath Falls OR.

I will be traveling from KFalls to King of Hammers (so cal) on Feb 3rd, I can make room in my enclosed trailer.

Hey Mark I bet I can talk Rob into taking it from KOH to you in Burbank. It's a huge week for me at the race, lots of prerunning, tech, race team logistics. I am whooped after 10 days in the desert and dipping into LA with my trailer and all my junk is not realistic for me.

I am going to start preping my race trailer and this engine to travel today if that works for you Mark?

KOH is officially Feb 3rd through the 11th.
The mixed class races are on the 9th, the unlimited class races on the 10th. I will be there late on the 3rd or early on the 4th. I won't be available late on the 8th or all day tge 9th. But any time before or after I will make work. I am headed home Saturday the 11th. I will have one of our team shirts and hats waiting for you.

@D'Animal will appreciate the karma here. When I got to the shop I noticed a pool of motor oil in the bed of the truck. I had a flashback to when Dan brought me down a motor from a fellow CVC member and ended up with a pool of oil in the bed of his truck.

Funny thing is Dan, turns out this motor came from another CVC. What are the odds?

Well I'm not 100 percent committed at the moment. I had to cancel my Death Valley camping trip last weekend, and got to spend a couple of days digging into my '45. Included a carb rebuild and two distributor replacements (don't ask!), repairing old rod linkage among other things.

I just got done with the repairs a few minutes ago and haven't had a chance to test drive the truck, but it seems to be running VERY well. I'm gonna put a few days on it. Not making any promises, but if I'm satisfied with the improvements, I might let the 2F go and wait for another to come along.
