The truck is in Laurel, MS, but I drive to Tupelo, MS on some weekends. So anywhere around those areas would be an easy place for someone to come take a look and drive.
$7000 (PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE)
I'm selling my beautiful 4Runner. This thing is one of a kind. It has the FACTORY SOLID AXLE, a rebuilt 22RE engine, and rebuilt W56 top shift transmission. It is a 1985 which is the only year you could have straight axle and fuel injected 22RE engine. Other than it being rare in that since it is also rare in that it has the factory original rear seat delete bed cap, which was only offered through special order. This truck was also ordered from the dealership in Jackson, MS, and has been a Mississippi truck it's entire life. I am the third owner. Among the awesome rarity of this 80's bad assery is all the hard work that has been put into it.
Here's a brief list:
-brand new Jasper motor (20,000 miles)
- freshly rebuilt top shifting W56 trans
- professional rebuilt and balanced injectors
-new gas tank
-new fuel sending unit
-low mile tires
-new vacuum lines
-LCEPerformance stainless steel idle adjuster
-new air tube elbow
-all new factory window seals all around
-brand new Toyota original master cylinder
-brand new Toyota bellhousing cylinder
-bed lined interior
-new headlights
-new clutch kit
-new base quality shocks (have not given me any trouble, but they are not anything special)
Besides the practical upgrades and additives there are also some definite "boss" upgrade stickers. These stickers give an extra 100HP and add a whopping 20,000,000 baller points. Stickers include:
-Jesus on a velociraptor (because He can)
-"Don't follow me, you won't make it" (because it's true)
-YETI (because you need to make sure everyone knows you overpaid for a beer cooler)
-Low Range Off Road (because with every purchase they send you a whole page of various stickers and they have to go somewhere)
-Pisgah National Forrest/Amicalola Falls (because she is old but mighty enough to drive all the way there and back and I want people to know that)
This truck has no rust except for a small bit on the door seal. It has not rusted through or anything. The frame 100% solid and so is the body. This thing is still representing it's original cream paint from the 80's and minus the small hood dents and scratches on the tailgate it is AWESOME! The heat works great and supposedly so does the A/C. I've never used the A/C. I was told by the previous owner it just needed to be vacuumed out and recharged, but I never got around to it because I always like to ride with the windows down. I daily drove this bad boy for about a year and I would drive it anywhere. Me and my younger brother drove from Laurel, MS to Cummings, GA in a single go and then from there to Asheville, NC then through Gatlinburg, TN, Chattanooga, and Alabama onto Tupelo, MS. Then we headed back home to Heidelberg, MS all in one trip. She drives great. Needs a new driveshaft and or u joints. It also has an exhaust leak at the bottom of the header. My intentions are to fix the exhaust leak, but if I sell before then, I'll just give you the freshly cleaned and sandblasted exhaust manifold and down-pipe that came on it if you want it. I would also like to note hat this truck use to be a an automatic, but when I bought it the transmission wasn't to my liking so I swapped in a rebuilt W56 trans. That being said it still has factory auto trans harness. It drives fine, but for instant I never got around to hooking up the backup lights. Also the interior is not the cleanest, but it works for me and I'm sure some guys on here are fine with that if they are like me. There is also a windshield leak. Rear windshield still works great.
All in all this is a one of a kind truck find. It's got a straight body and it's a good platform for upgrades.
Private message me with your phone number so I can text you more photos. I cannot seem to upload all the other photos for some reason.
