That fine specimen of a 70 Series actually belongs to a friend of mine. He removed the Diesel engine and the 5 speed gearbox to transplant into a 45 Series Troopy.
( Which he custom built for a group of nuns in the Dominican Republic ) He is hanging onto it in the event he needs the axles, steering components, interior tid-bits etc. for a future project. Where I only saw a rusty piece of cr*p, he saw potential. :)

Ah...

I see Charles. Try dealing with that predicament x 100 trucks!!

;)

Well there are good parts on there just from the pics. Probably small in nature though.

I believe the dash was removed intact and the steering components are still nice and tight. Just need to verify your Tetanus shots are up to date? :D

You are welcome to visit anytime but if that bad boy sits on the trailer, in the weather, for a few more months it will take itself apart. I believe the rust and spider webs comprise most of the structural integrity at this point. :)

 not much better than my 80!!

Will that truck be at your place?

It is currently across town ( about 15 minutes away ).

Timeframe for pillaging??

Not really sure at this point. He is currently doing a frame off on a rag top 45/47 Series Troopy that should be completed in the next month or so. I have been begging him to put his work on MUD but he hasn't done so yet. I wish you could see this Troopy when he is done.

Well...lets get it together....

talk is cheap without pics ...
post or it doesn't exist.

Ye of little faith ...... :)
I will take my camera when I visit later this week.

Did most Canadian BJ70's have this "normal" front bumper?

For those who are interested in converting their 70 Series from RHD to LHD, would you need these components or is it simply a matter of moving the RHD components to the opposite side and I assume you would need a LHD dash?

LHD
dash
steering box and relays
AC box
wiring prefered
wiper motor and arms and location
etc etc etc

You would have to really dislike RHD to go through all that trouble.

Installed a 24V to 12V converter block that is capable of running six different components. Currently have the new radio, cigarette lighter, and air compressor running off of three of the available circuits.

My family thought this clock pretty much summed up my mechanical skills ( or lack
thereof ). :D
