Hey guys and girls, sadly life happens faster than I expected and just coming back from a joint training exercise in Romania (Guardian Saber) I got the call today of my new orders being published for an unaccompanied tour for 2 years.

With that said, I must sell my 85 FJ60 I purchased from a mud member out of Dallas Texas. I believe I'm the 4th owner. Truck is out of Arizona and Texas, so zero rust on frame and dog legs were repaired by previous mud member before I purchased.

I flew out of Atlanta to Dallas and drove it the entire 788mi back with zero issues at 14.5-15mpg at 65mph.

The good is that it runs and everything works as it should. The extra good is that it will come with an entire cargo area full of new parts I have buying since I purchased because I Grand dreams of passing this down to my 1yr old son when he turns 16 lol.

Parts included that have not been installed:
-Troll hole carb
-All new OEM coolant hoses from Beno
-New front seat belts from seatbelt planet
-rear swing out carrier and spindle custom made for my rear armor bumper (driver side offset)
-spare carb fan
-new headlight harness from slc, literally the last one he made
- hella e-codes w/ H4 bulbs
-the ultra rare brand newGerman in Channel smoke vent visors for front and rear windows, I purchased from Germany and had shipped here
-brand new front window regulators
-brand new black window handle cranks
- 4 OEM oil filters
- spare fan shroud
- spare wiper blades
- brand new walker quiet flo muffler
- 3 piece warn winch bumper
- new Landcruiser badges and rear 4wd badge

And more little odds and ends I purchased day dreaming of all the cool stuff I wanted to do with it but big army made sure to suck all my time away which is how I got on a daily spending spree.

I have had the Bosch a229lx recently rebuilt 6/25/2017 and new regulator installed as well, cranking out 14.1 amps

Truck is on OME 3" lift on grey painted OEM wheels with 33x12.50's

Exterior was repainted by previous, previous owner to a silver/black with red pin striping separating the two colors.

Exterior i'd rate at an 8

Interior, the dash has one small crack at front of gauge cluster by windshield
Seats have been upgraded to manual BMW 3 series seats with Mexican/Aztec covers, rear seats are factory blue/grey. All door cards are factory blue grey in good condition.

Interior I'd rate at a 8 as well

Transmission shifts fine, 4wd engages and hubs lock with ease.

A/c works, heat works, also the rear heater works exceptionally well (I was always wondering why it was so hot in my truck when I drove it, rear heater was on lmao

Truck has funny idle between 500-1000rpm and I suspect the carb needs a rebuild which is why I bought the troll hole to install.

I have purchased and installed new ac/heater fan from rock auto and replaced every vaccum hose under the hood, truck is partially desmogged as the pump is gutted.

Overall the truck is in good shape and I'm taking a loss anyway you cut it.

Truck is priced to sell at $9800 firm
Registered and titled in my name in Georgia. Located in Columbus, Ga

Please do not ask for purchase of individual parts as I won't even entertain it, because it's all or nothing as I literally have 0 time to sell and mail out each part.

So unless you are @NeverGiveUpYota , @beno , @erse and a select few other, you will not get any individual parts from me.

This forum has been literally been the greatest community I have been apart of, and I've been in the mustang, Tundra, and 4Runner communities. But the fj60 owners are another level above.

Sorry for being long winded, but I wanted to be as upfront as possible so there is 0 surprises.

I'm back for now but I will be gone the last week of Sept and my wife will not be showing or trying to sell the 60, so strike while the iron is hot and own a great 60 that you can make that much greater once you install all the parts I spent my money on!

I'll get some pics of frame and interior this weekend! For now, enjoy!

Peter

Man I am sorry to hear you are selling it. Someone is going to make out like a bandit at your price with all those extra parts you have accumulated and the repairs you have completed.

Are you sure you don't want to store it somewhere and see how you feel when your tour is over? It's not going to lose any value in the next couple of years.

Whatever you decide stay safe where you are headed and try to come back with a diesel troopy or the like and you can make us all jealous!

dang! I really wish I had jumped on this when he offered it as a trade. Best of luck with the sale, if I could, I would.

Thanks! It's been so fun getting thumbs ups and waves, as well as people always asking me about it, but I would rather it goto a person who will give it the full attention it deserves and utilize the parts I purchased to make a great rig. I was busy day dreaming and buying instead of buying and installing and parts just piled up.

I'm touched to be mentioned. Thank you!
Sorry to hear of your sellinf but I get it. Sold my old truck w/ tons of remorse hence when I got back in the game a few years later. :)

Thanks everyone for the words and interest, but the 60 has been SOLD!

New owner is going to get it where I dreamed it should be with all the parts!!
