Beautiful ride. Makes me miss my 60. Someone will snap this up quickly. GLWS.

Don't sell it! I have an 87 Silver that looks just like yours. I also have a 3 year old daughter and an 18 month old son. The car seats fit just fine in the back and there is plenty of room for the dog in the way back. My wife even drives me around in it some instead of her Subaru. My daughter calls it "The Beast" and my boy constantly points to it l, says truck and walks up to the door wanting a ride. A 4Rinner or Highlander can't do that for you.

Good luck if you do, however. When is it going to be on BaT? I'll be curious to see what it goes for.

Don't sell it! I have an 87 60 that looks like this one's twin. I also have a 3 year old and an 18 month old. Two car seats have plenty of room in the back, plenty for the dog in the way back. My wife even drives 'em around sometimes me instead in the Subaru. My daughter calls it the beast and my son points to it, says truck and walks up to it by the door wanting a ride in it all the time. A 4 runner or highlander can't do that for you.

If you do sell it, GLWA at BaT. When is it going up? I'll be curious as to what it goes for.

My kids loved my 60, even more than my 80! It was everything from a princess carriage to a beastly tree hauler. A 60 is tough to give up, especially for a 'generic' ride.

How much of your paint is original?

To be honest, I don't know. It appears to be all original, but some visible red in the door frame means that either the whole car was red at one point or parts of the door/frame have been replaced.

Curious if the $8250 it sold for is something you are happy with. The hype can be pretty strong on BaT (and was with yours) with certain vehicles so I feel like they got it right.

I was obviously hoping for more, but I like the auction style because the market sets the price. Sounds like it is going to a good home in Texas.

anyone have any tips to find a worthy buyout price? or how to buy from the insurance company?

1985 Toyota Land Cruiser - FJ60 - listed for 12,500 yesterday

1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 auction closed for 8,250 in August

The BaT winner just put it up on Craigslist in Austin. No doubt well bought on BaT, otherwise, those are the most expensive FJ62 mirrors ever affixed to an FJ60. ;)

I believe the truck still comes with the yet to be installed seat foam @IrishCRZR bought from @PicaTrig. :)

Check out other B@T 60/62 sales. A couple have went for 20 and up

@Rusto for sure. When I saw the CL post, I just remembered this thread and subsequent BaT auction.

I'm hunting pretty hard for my next 60.

That's not a bad deal IMO if the no rust at all checks out. I paid 12 flat for mine a year ago. 5k in recent receipts, same color as this one and in similar, great conditikn. Absolutely bone stock 87, all original with 166,000 miles. Mine did not have the OME lift. I'd have to see many more pics , but you could probably get thus for 11,500.

Wait, is the B@T 60 and the CL 60 the same ride?
