I am getting ready to sell my 85FJ60. I have decided that I do not want to put in the time required to fix and control the rust... (I HAVE cut out and replaced the driver's side rear wheel arch dogleg and I have the other side ready to install). I have purchased a relatively rust-less "new" 86FJ60 that will become my wheeling truck. My lack of motivation to do the rest of the de-rust work is your opportunity to get a great base to build a truck of your own.
Over the years I have done lots of "stuff" to this truck so you don't have to. I am going to be swapping off most of my "goodies": winch, diff/lockers, front/rear bumpers etc. What will be left is a very good running 2F that has been Jim C desmogged, a rebuilt carb, rebuilt starter, new radiator, new steering column U joint, new TREs, rebuilt steering box, replaced/reman PS pump, 2" Roger Brown body lift, cut and capped rockers and quarters, rust-free replacement tailgate, mostly rust-free FJ62 doors (manual windows) new water pump, new hoses and belts, full 7 pin trailer harness with electric brake controller... and more. I have maintained the mechanicals regularly. The truck will come with stock 3.73 diffs, 5 stock wheels with 31" ATs: 2 BFG and 3 other good-tread ATs (I'll have to see what brand). It will come with uninstalled stock bumpers with good end caps. There is a bunch of small stuff that may or may not be included... I want to work with a buyer to fine-tune the details (I have a pair of 4.11 diffs that could be included, the Alcan 3" lift with U bolt flip kit could stay or go, rear seat FJ62 shoulder belts, passenger dash grab bar, I have a CCOT center console, Hella HID conversion headlights... etc)
So: Here is the truck as it sits now. If you have some interest in this drop me an email and I'll send a bazillion pictures...
As a starting point I'm asking $2500... this is of course variable up or down depending on the details of what is finally purchased. Details of what is for sale here may change as my plans morph - up until a deal is made with a buyer.
