Below is a description of my 1985 FJ60. July Build Date. $11,000 or trade for 80 or 100 series. I'm open to offers and will split shipping costs with the right buyer. Parked inside every night. Located in Dallas, TX.

My 85FJ60 with 266K has been a great truck for the last three years. This morning I drove it to work and passed the annual inspection. Everywhere I look I remember doing this or that to make things like I wanted it.

The short story behind this truck was that I wanted it to be comfortable all year round and I needed to be able to drive it to work in my suit. No excuses or surprises allowed. Truck goes 65mph without complaining while the AC runs. In the last 3 years and 7,000 miles it has only left me stranded one time. The lower radiator hose blew while sitting in a bank drive-thru. I pushed it into a parking spot and ubered home, winched it onto my car hauler and replaced the entire cooling system. This happened two years ago.

Interior: All the lights work, AC works great, heater works, windshield has no cracks or chips, etc. The interior is a 8.5/10. Carpet replaced 2016, front seats replaced with BMW seats, radio and speakers replaced, nice set of door panels installed, etc.

Exterior: Truck came from New Mexico and has been in North Texas since 2000. Frame and body in excellent condition. The exterior was repainted by the previous owner in 2009 and is a 8.0/10 in my opinion. No hail damage, chips or cracks in glass. The front bumper is stock with Hella lights bolted into the factory holes. The rear bumper was installed while I did the suspension lift. I also have what I think is an ARB three-piece front bumper that is used and hasn't been installed.

Suspension: It’s an OME med/heavy, stickers still on the springs, new u bolts, extended sway bar links, etc. No leaning to one side, new U-bolts installed.

Engine: A/C converted to R134A, no leaks. Desmogged, 1 drop a day oil leak from the oil pan gasket, burns no oil, headlight washer bottle missing (been looking for 1 year for replacement), new exhaust from the downpipe to the rear. Idles at 650-700, starts first turn every time hot or cold. Aluminum radiator, water pump, hoses, fan clutch, distributor, battery, rebuilt power steering pump, bosh alternator and starter replaced. Electric water temp gauge and digital installed to keep an eye on everything.

Driveline: When I purchased the truck the 4 speed was loud in 4th gear. I sourced a 4 speed from Georg at Valley Hybrids and installed a new clutch, rear seal and transfer case bits. Front and rear drive shafts have new Toyota u joints and the shafts have been balanced. Knuckles rebuilt and brake pads and shoes replaced. All fluids replaced in diff’s.

Tires and wheels: Stock 60 wheels, sand blasted, painted and clear coated. Tires are BFG AT 33x12.50x15 with 10,000 miles and matching spare.

Here are a few pictures. I’m happy to shoot video or pictures of anything you would like to see. Have built and sold several cruisers in the last 5 years and I’m happy to share pictures of my work.

Pictures from the Noico 50 mil sound deadening and carpet kit installation. The black spray is Boom Mat spray which helps seal the different layers of sound deadening mat.

I purchased a copy of the carfax report if any interested persons would like to review it.

Thanks, Bill D.

This week the cruiser got a full wax job, windshield washer bottle and pump replaced, tires rotated and a new fuel filter. Lots of things both big and small make this a nice truck.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like pictures of something

Thanks, Bill D.

Has the motor or transmission/clutch been rebuilt or anything
Yes, see below.
Driveline: When I purchased the truck the 4 speed was loud in 4th gear. I sourced a 4 speed from Georg at Valley Hybrids and installed a new clutch, rear seal and transfer case bits while I was in there. Front and rear drive shafts have new Toyota u joints and the shafts have been balanced. K7nuckles rebuilt and brake pads installed, all fluids replaced in diff’s.

Thanks, I'm interested in working a deal if someone is interested.

Tonight I'm going to run a compression test and snap a few photos of the undercarriage. Will post this info on Friday.

I would fight with a spoon in a knife fight to get your 60.

I literally just bought and sold my very first 60 because I was way in over my head. Let's do a layaway plan ;) haha

Layaway?! sure, you send me some money and I will keep it tucked away for you until Christmas :santa:

Thanks for the kind words.

The undercarriage looks clean enough to eat off of...... I am shocked this rig is still available.... what an awesome truck.

I've been checking one way flights from Toronto to Texas and trying to figure out fuel costs if it were to be driven from Dallas to my house.....2406 kms..
