Hi everyone,
Long time reader here. Recently decided to sell my '85 FJ60, and I thought that I'd let you guys know before I put it on Craigslist. I'm the second owner, and it has 95,4xx original miles. I bought it last March from an older gentleman who used it as his work truck. Located about 20 minutes north of Atlanta, GA. I've put about 3,000 miles on it since I bought it, and have done the following:
-Replaced tires with brand new 32" BFG A/Ts.
-Replaced belts
-Synthetic oil
-Replaced fuel hose
-Rust removal/bondo on tailgate (not pretty, but a solid repair)
-Primed/painted areas around base (once again, not professional, but gets the job done).
-Cleaned up interior, laid rubber matting in back
This Cruiser runs well, but here are the issues that I know of:
-A tree fell on the rear passenger side some years ago; and the roof has been repaired and the back passenger window replaced with plexiglas
-E-brake is not working
-Horn is out
-Passenger side door and cargo door do not lock
-Ignition has been moved to the dashboard, uses a smaller key
-License plate light is out
-Radio is only semi-functional
I've taken this FJ on a couple road trips (very slow and steady...I always keep it 55mph and under), but I mainly use it just as a beer-getter and for short trips around town. I'm selling because I hardly drive it at all anymore. There's definitely some work to be done, but I've never seen an FJ60 with lower mileage, and I know that somebody with the time/resources could make a great project out of it.

IMPORTANT: The title to this Cruiser was misplaced by the original owner. Titles are not required to register pre-'86 vehicles in Georgia, but it may be an issue in your state, so please keep this in mind.
