For Sale 1985 FJ60 350 V8 TBI in Socal

Fellow Cruiser Lovers,
I find it time to sell my second 60 series.
This is a 1985 that was converted to a GM 350 V8 TBI (fuel injection) at 160,000 miles in 2001. It now has 208,000 miles (48,000 miles on the engine) and runs great. It has a Ranger Overdrive on the original 4 speed manual transmission, aluminum radiator, dual electronic fans, single 3" exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, and 31x10.5 Big O A/T tires that are about 15,000 miles old. Front and rear bumpers are aftermarket tube style, with auxiliary off road lights. Both the driver and passenger A pillars have search lights. The interior and exterior are in great condition. A Bluetooth CD player, water temp gauge and tachometer have all been added to the dash.

This truck has been my daily driver in LA, and I love it. We just upgraded to a TDI in favor of gas mileage, although for a Cruiser with this much power, I have been happy with my consistent 13mpg. I have posted this to LA craigslist as well. Link is below.

The shifter to the left (in the first picture) is the "Ranger Torque Splitter Overdrive" shifter. I use it like a 5th gear, which allows the truck to run at 2000rpm at 60mph. It can be used in any gear to reduce the RPM's (according to Advance Adapters) by 27%.

No major suspensions upgrades. Springs (OEM from Man-a-fre) and shocks (Rancho RS5000) were replaced 44,000 miles ago.

This is all true. Thanks tmonty. A lot of money has gone into this engine to make it right, especially since I live in California with all the smog restrictions

Interior Pictures





The drivers seat as you can see has the common cracked area. The Dashboard has NO cracks or deformities, and the bright spot seen on the passenger side of the transmission hump is sunlight, the carpet looks great with below average wear. The front foot wells, transmission hump and front doors are all covered in Dynamat.

Prescott Muffler (somewhat near your next of the woods) did the V8 Swap (previous owner) but Absolute Automotive Repair in Thousand Oaks, CA really cleaned up the look of the engine bay when they did the smog upgrade and the fuel injection conversion. I'm very happy with their work.
