I used MHP as well, and I think my engine work from them was around $3-3.5K without them building it, for future reference to others who are thinking of getting the work done. Expensive and that was 8 years ago or so but worth it!

could you post up what hose you found to work with your newly rebuilt pump? I wasn’t aware we could get them rebuilt! Did they reuse your old box for it? Otherwise, why would there be a change on the location? I swapped mine at o’rielly’s whenever I needed a new one until I finally got an original back. That was my keeper. I realized I never should have traded in my original in the beginning. The Ford or Chevy ones you get back don’t fit quite right.

so I basically went to every local parts store and convinced them to let me look through all their hoses. I finally found this one with the right diameter and coils inside it so it keeps its shape when I make the 90+ degree bend. I don’t remember the brand or anything, it was just hanging on a rack in the back of auto zone I think. I took several home until I found one that worked. You can see it in the pic (for some reason the pic rotated on me).

As for the smog pump, when I got the truck it came with a box of parts, one of them being what I thought to be the original pump. I didn’t look at it to close, just sent it off to the rebuilder. It could have been clocked that way from the beginning for all I know and I just wasn’t paying attention, which is kind of the story of my life.
