My father recently gave me his old fj with the intent on having me restore it.
Well, I had someone take a look at the engine and give me an estimate of $3500.
Between the cost of the rebuild and all the other maintenance a truck that has been sitting outside for 10 years is going to need, I'm just not sure if it is worth it. :/
So I figured I would at least try and sell her before scrapping.
I'll get pictures up before too long. I would also like to clarify that I do not want to part it out.
It has almost no rust. (somehow)
Front windscreen is smashed to all hail.
The grill is taken off and in the back of the truck.
The engine is in pieces, but should be all there.
It has the dreaded mid-80s California smog system.
