Curious as to why this would not make a good family or commuter car. Anything specific to this vehicle, or do you not think these vehicles in general don't make good family cars/communters?

Lots of reasons. Safety being one. No airbags, no ABS. If I had kids, I wouldn't want this to be my primary vehicle for hauling them around. Maybe a fun spin every now and then or runs on the ranch, but as a daily kid hauler - no way. You'd lose your mind. WRT commuter. 13mpg is not commuter friendly unless you drive a mile or two to work. It's a 32 year old classic car. They're just not meant for the day to day grind commuting puts on them.

Right on. I ask because I drive mine daily 8 miles to and from work and it will be what I haul my son around as soon as he gets here. To each there own though, brother! Good luck with the sale!
