SOLD!!

I'm selling a fantastic troopy I imported from Australia a year ago. I've been enjoying it for the past year, but finally got my other one out of the garage, so it's time for this one to go.

Specs are:
149k kms (about 89k miles)
2F
Factory Power Steering (right hand drive)
Cold Air Conditioning (factory or dealer install, not sure which)
99.5% rust free--has one spot in the bib
OME medium springs with less than 2k miles (not full suspension, just springs)
33x12.50x15 BFG ATs with less than 2k miles
Full float rear
Disks front
Jumps seats included, except PO removed bottom seat cushions to build bed platform--frames are there, just need plywood, foam and vinyl.
Front split bench in excellent shape, driver seat has a crack, but not torn to the foam
Front mats in perfect shape
Dual batteries on isolator to feed overhead console with CD and CB with linear amp, auxiliary rear light
Full-length roof rack with ladder, 2 locking roof-top boxes, and a tube for an awning or fishing poles

I have had troopies with H, 2H, 2F, and SBC. Although the diesels are cool, I much prefer driving the 2F. Living at 7000 feet, the 2F definitely has better power than either of the n/a diesels and mileage isn't much worse.

This is a great running and driving truck and is exceptionally straight and fully optioned for the year. The ONLY downside to this truck is that it has the crappiest factory paint I have ever seen. It is a white rig and has places on the driver side and rear that are peeling almost like a Chrysler. The PO put paint on most of these spots to protect it, but it definitely would benefit from a nice paint job. I was going to have it done before selling, but my summer has been really busy and I'm focused on my other troopy right now. Good thing is, what you see is what you get.

I will post a couple pics later, they are still on my camera. I can email more if you are interested, send me a PM with your email address. Probably will go on ebay by the weekend.

thanks

Good luck on the sale.

Guys: I've seen this in person. It is beautiful indeed. Gorgeous body.

A bump for David and a second for Dan. This is an extreemely nice rig. I helped David import it from this end, and I am sad to see it go. However, it will make some new owner VERY happy. All it needs is a coat of paint and a 5 speed and it will be one of the nicest troopies in the US.

The original owner of the rig here in Australia was in love with this truck and treated it really well. He only sold it because he got a new job which came with a 4wd pickup and he could not justify registration for the troopy when he would hardly ever drive it (registration here in the Nanny State is VERY expensive). He even asked for photos of the rig in the US so he could put them up in his office. This is the rig you want to buy if you intend to keep it long-term.

Yes it is sold...and living happily in northern NV. Thanks for everything David, your a solid guy and a pleasure to deal with.

The night I got home I started to de-aussie it. Lost the sunscreen and the roof boxes.

Bravo Jereme!! Those visors are awful.

That rig looks great! I hope you start a thread of this rig as it progresses. This is one of the best in the US, no question. I'll change the name on the Registry to you.

I'm glad you are enjoying it and I hope it treats you well. I kept the roof boxes off, too, but the visor works too well, even if it is ugly. Like Josh said, start a thread if you make a project of it.

I'm off towards Yellowstone in mine tomorrow, we'll see how she does. Looks like my a/c compressor is on it's way out, so may lose that along the way, otherwise I'm feeling good about it.

I know it's been a while but did you get rid of the visor? I'd buy it if available. I have acquired this FJ45 and think it's useful and attractive.
