I have an 8/83 that I picked it up on a lean sale and salvage tag. It has power steering and supposed to have A/C but its been removed by a previous owner. The guy I got it from was going to remove the vin plates and try to register it as a pre-smog vehicle. Not the brightest po in the world.

I am a newbie just purchased a 1983 in Colombia. The 300 number I saw in wikipedia. Probably not a great source.

I am restoring this one and shipping it to Florida for resale later. Did all the 1983s come with the grey vinyl or did some come with black? I prefer the black but i want to make her as original style as can be.

interior spec more basic in Colombia but she comes with NO SMOG equipment and H41 and 4.11s which I like.

I don't know about Columbia but in the US they all came with Gray vinyl that matched the door panels.

It had white spoke wheels and a white grille (thus no chrome package - I don't think we ever got that in the US) with the bolt-in dash and odometer with 7 digits (introduced in 1981 so not unique to the 1983).

SeaKnight ("Saving the rust bucket" thread) has a late '82 that has the chrome package, hopefully he'll get around to posting pictures of it eventually. Was sold in SoCal and has every chrome bit you can imagine -

Well we have to document this one too! No PS or A/C

Was in almost perfect condition until owner rolled it 09/13. Rolled on passengers side/top/drivers side (3/4 roll) able to drive it back out..engine , frame running gear not damaged. would need all new sheet metal and glass. Owned for 12 years, pretty much a garge queen until THIS!

We have 4 that I know of in Dallas LSLC, 2 bone stockers in a climate controlled garage, one that has a nice LS conversion and a rustbucket trail truck

Nothing really 83 specific. Looks like the damage was wide spread. A project for sure.
