I have For Sale an almost 100% original 83 FJ40.
I purchased this Cruiser a few years back from the original owner, this truck has NEVER been off road. When I bought it, it had white wall tires on the original chrome rally wheels. I put some 31's with new white spokes on it along with a new front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch. I still have the 5 stock wheels with whitewalls and the spare with the original factory Bridgestone tire along with the factory front bumper.
The truck is in original non molested condition and has very little rust, mostly on the back corners and floor, no holes or anything just some normal FJ40 rust, it also has a few scratches, this is the original paint from 1983. The truck has not been driven in winter for the last 15-20 years and has always been garaged, it has just over 100,000 miles. It starts and runs great, the factory A/C does need a charge and it has the factory Power Steering also.
I am attaching a few pictures and if you are a serious buyer and want more detailed pictures email me and I will send you whatever you want.
I hate to part with this truck, but am just running out of room and have a serious tractor collection issue.
The Cruiser has a clean WI title and I am asking $48,000 for it, if you are serious please email me, if not then look at the pictures and move on.

What year did Toyota go back to vent windows in the doors?

Does the wing window indicate a South American 40? Regardless of the answer it is a nice looking 40.

This 40 was originally purchased in Guam by a guy in the Navy, he had it shipped home a year or 2 after he bought it, I got it from him. Not sure if that's why it might have the wing windows?

This looks like a job for JohnnyC.

Legend has it that Toyota was grabbing whatever available parts were on hand to build the last few 83's that shipped to the US. Guam and Puerto Rico would be USA models since they are US Territories. Doors with wing windows ended up on a few US 1983 FJ40's. They would normally have gone on Aussie trucks. I have never seen wing windows on any late 70's early 80's trucks except a few 83's. I have owned a few with these doors like this red one.
