For Sale 1983 Nissan Patrol *highly modified* sell whole or part

I have decided to sell as a whole or part this truck out. I have to many trucks as projects (four of them) and want to downsize to just one truck for doing it all. I will be using some of the gear from the truck in my next project so not everything on the truck is for sale. I actually thought about it a bit more this evening and have kind of a number on what I would take for the truck "as is" complete. I suppose by the rules I am supposed to list my price for the truck since I am not listing this in the parts section. So here it is,

I will take $25,000 for the truck "as is" with some extra stuff tossed in like a factory turbo.

Located in Jackson, Wyoming.

However, here is the ad I am listing on a few forums.

I have decided to scrap my truck and start a new project that isn't such a trailer queen. I never finished this 100% and won't be thanks to this lame economy. I have not done much to it since 2008 when the last round of the build was done. Since 2008 this truck has had no more then 1000 miles put on it, likely much less. I have only done two big trips in it and everything else were day trips.

I would be willing to sell the truck whole as is but price tag on that is $25,000 or $22,000 with no engine, tranny or t-case. Not getting a lot of interest in the full truck and much more for it's parts. So parting it makes the most sense...

1983 Nissan Patrol, not sold in the USA, imported from Germany in 1987 by the original German owner. I can almost guarantee you will never see another one of these for sale in the USA let alone built like this one. You could drop a v8 in this with a nice tranny and t-case and be just about done. Or you could keep the diesel and adapt some other gear boxes (see below for more info on that).

*Portal-Tek G3 axles, 3.0 gears and ARB lockers. RCV axles in the front, 4340 shafts all around, Wilwood calipers with duals on the rear axle for cutting brakes. Set up for a tri-4link rear and a 3-link front. Nasty hydro ram skid plate made from 1/2" and chromoly. I want $13,000 for the set of axles and will do them for $14,500 with all the hydraulic steering.

*Ballistic 16" coil overs. 2.5" with the big shaft, I think it is 5/8". Sorry don't recall valving or spring rates, the Patrol weighs 6,000lbs and that is what we set them shocks up for. Comes with the springs. I would like to sell them all as a set. Fronts are piggy back and rears are remote reservoir. I paid over $2400 for all 4, will let them go for $1650. Fox 2.0x4" bumps, $600 for the set of four. Don't want to separate right now. Will do package deal for shocks plus bumps at $2150.

*Maxxis Creepies, 40"x13.50R17. Four of them have some rock rash but tread is about 90% or more. The spare has never been on the ground. No rips, tears or bad sidewalls. I paid $570 a tire and will sell them all for $2250.

*MasterCraft 3Gs and MC Rubicon rear bench seat. I paid $582 each (plus extra for the seat slides) for the 3Gs and will sell them for $495 each, they are nearly new and have seat slides. The rear bench I paid $785 for and will sell for $425, it is like new. I also have a pair Crow 3" lap belts I will toss in for $75. Will do package deal on all this for $1500 which is seats, slides and 4 sets of lap belts plus mounting hardware.

*POS full hydraulic steering system. Ram 2.5x8", TC pump and orbital valve. I want $1700 for all of it.

*CNC dual handle cutting brake, 3/4" bore, single reservoir. $150.

I doubt any of you are interested in the rest of the truck but the body is rust free. Chassis is chopped and modified, 3/8" belly skid. Aluminum fuel cell in bed. The motor is an SD33 diesel, it could use some love and I do have a factory turbo for it needing a rebuild. The tranny is a Patrol 5spd and the t-case is stock, both freshly rebuilt including new synchros in the tranny. Very unique truck with a removal-able hardtop. Really badass Nissan made PTO winch. I am keeping the plasma cable. I even have a set of Nissan Patrol axles that are new and have some sweet mods that could go under the truck. The engine in it now is a bit tired and could use a rebuild. With the stock gear boxes crawl ratio sucks for the rocks, about 58:1. You can however get an adapter kit from IHOnly to bolt an NV4500 to the engine. I bought a kit but am keeping it. The SD33T engine came in Scouts in the late 1970s so parts can be had in the USA. The engine can also be worked a lot, I have another one that is heavily built with good results. You could also fit a 727 auto to the engine as that came in some diesel Scouts.

Most of the stuff not listed but seen in the pictures I am keeping such as the Walker Evans beadlocks, 7075 links and rod ends, ect. That is unless you buy the whole truck.

Lots of pictures here...

Me likey. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks, I would like to keep the truck and finish off the project. However, I need cash and have decided I don't want a strictly off-road trailer queen anymore. So downsizing to one truck and project is what I am going to do. This truck is street legal here where I live and it is registered and insured. It is not something you jump in and drive to Moab in though, for a number of reasons, hydraulic steering be just one of them!

If somebody wants the whole thing but doesn't want the engine, tranny, t-case and PTO stuff I am willing to pull that gear and sell the truck without it. I will also come down on my price if you want the truck without this stuff.

I would say the cheapest, fastest, easiest with the biggest bang for your buck way to finish this truck off would be to slap a v8 in it. Anything from a junkyard 5.3L to a $10,000 Turn Key big block. Then put the tranny of your choice behind that (manual or auto) and then top it off with say an Atlas t-case. Of course that is not the only option but it will be the quickest way to make this truck ready for hardcore use in the rocks. See the link below for more info about all this.

I have it listed on Ebay now with more info about the truck.

If you have any questions about specific things just msg me or call.

Bump

more then likely I am going to recycle these axles under my next project. However I will sell them, if somebody with cash steps up. I will also sell the whole truck. I have 3 trucks listed for sale, need to move one of them. If it is not this one I will end up parting out this truck. Specifically seats, shocks, steering, ect.

Bump

Willing to sell the Fox bumps, they are 2.0s with 4" of travel. $600 for all four.

Will do package deal on axles, tire & wheels. Price on that is $16,000. That is $5,000 less then I have in it all.

No serious offers on the axles so if something doesn't happen soon on those I think I am keeping them!

People are hot on the rest of the Patrols parts so here are some more pictures...

I am also willing to trade the 40" Creepies for a set of new 37x12.5R17 KM2s or near new + $500, you pay for shipping on it all.

*edite* sorry for double up on some pictures. :o

With all the work you did on that....its almost as tough as a Cruiser:p

Bump and GLWS...very nice

The truck is pretty much off the market as a complete vehicle.

I sold the shocks, bumps, seats and hydraulic steering out of it. The motor, trans and t-case are being tossed into a 77 Patrol.

I still got some 40" Creepies though I am selling. So if you are looking for some 40x13.5R17 Creepies with 95% tread drop me a line! I also have a MasterCraft Rubicon rear bench seat available, 36" wide. Real nice seat for an FJ40 or whatever. ;)
