I wonderingwhich way the four bolts that hold the clutch fan and pulley onto water pump come off .clockwise or counterclockwise. I having huge problems getting these off and no trouble which any other on truck I post picture of the fan pitch as herd that makes differance

They have regular thread, so counter clock-wise. It's probably easier to take the fan blade off first, but try using 2 wrenches at the same time. One to hold the pulley in place on one nut while the other loosens a different nut. I just replaced mine this weekend on my '81 and had to use two wrenches.

Thanks there were really tight and did not want to round off thanks so much.
Now I have leak at bottom of timing cover and it not from anywear but bottom, Im lost but got water pump on thanks to you Thanks dry everywear else
