Hi All,

I am putting up a link to my Craigslist ad... I have solid FJ43 for sale -- Colombian build. I purchased the truck while living in Bogota for work, and I shipped the truck up here this summer. I had hoped to hold on to it, but our family is going to be moving back to South America in spring (Brazil this time), and the numbers are not adding up in my favor. The title is clear and in my name. I won't tell you the truck was only driven on Sundays by a little old lady before I got it, but it's in solid shape. There was very little rust, which I had cut out, and I had it repainted. It comes with a bikini top and four half doors -- the doors have been painted to match the body, but I don't have current pics of the painted version... adding a few extra pics that are not on Craigslist.

Please let me know if you have questions about this vehicle.

$26,500 USD.

Thanks -- I felt the same way for a while, but these rims have grown on me... Bought them because they were the best 16" option I could get in Colombia with enough clearance to steer. I saw some steel rims around, but they were split rims and of questionable quality...

Sure are a lot of these coming in with no air or heat. Imagine 4 wheeling in the Rockies with no heater? I won't even get into how hard it would be to register without emissions. If you address these issues, I bet you would see a lot more interest in the US>
They sure are pretty though.

This truck came from Bogota -- never too hot and never too cold. You see a number of the trucks with AC (either as an original option or aftermarket) but you almost never see them with heat. A lot of these coming from SA land in Florida or Texas -- no heat required -- and you can pull the top for natural AC there --- Colorado is a different story!
Federal import regulations give exemptions to smog and emissions for vehicles that are older than 25 years and in their original configurations (can't make too many changes and still get them through customs); however, state emissions laws vary and can go beyond the federal regs. I titled this truck in Virginia "as is" with no problem because they use the 25 year federal exemption as their state standard -- California would be a nightmare to title an import unless it was a 1967 or older due to smog restrictions -- 1967 is the year they use for the state for smog exemptions. Arizona makes you bring it up to spec on emissions but Illinois does not. I'm not sure how Colorado stands, you'd have to check their DMV page...

Yes, Denver is forgiving for 1975 and prior only. Thanks for the info. Congrats on the sale

Just a fyi, 1967 is for gas vehicles being exempt in CA but diesels can be up to and include 1979 without having to bring them up to emissions standards.
