That's the same thing I was thinking......until I realized the person who posted the VIN "start dates" was using 6 vs. 7 numbers. Your 11/81 is VIN 347932, and my 8/82 is VIN 357640. That's 9,708 units apart, so numerically, it's possible. I was confused at first, because I was comparing my last 7 digits, when I realized the reference post was only using 6.It's interesting, looking at the numbers and build dates, the factory must have received a delivery of 20K frames or something in the late 1981. My frame 347932 with a build date of 11/81 is way before some of the 335#s of summer '82. They must've been pulling them out of storage randomly, so the sequence is not a good marker for build date except in general terms.
